Evolution Gaming, one of the top game development companies, recently introduced “Plinko Greek Edition,” a version with Greek colors and thematic elements referring to Greek mythology.
“We saw an amazing response from Greek players and wanted to create something specifically for this market,” said Maria Kontou, Evolution Gaming’s marketing director for Southern Europe. “The Greek edition includes different risk levels, from ‘Apollonian’ which is the safest, to ‘Areian’ which offers the biggest multipliers but with higher risk.”
Historic wins and impressive statistics
Last month, a player from Patras recorded the biggest Plinko win in Greek gaming history, winning €135,000 with just a €50 bet. The ball landed on the highest multiplier position of 2700x, transforming the small bet into a life-changing amount for the lucky player.
“It was incredible to feel watching the ball move to the right and finally land on the maximum multiplier,” the winner said in the press release issued by the platform. “I’ve been playing Plinko for about three months and this was the first time I chose the high risk level.”
According to statistics recently published by ΕΕΕΠ, more than 200,000 Greek players tried Plinko last month, with an average bet of about €8 and average playing time of 27 minutes per session.

“We believe the social element will further enhance the enjoyment that Plinko offers,” said Giorgos Mavridis, BGaming’s head of product development. “This version is expected to launch at the end of the year and will be available exclusively on licensed platforms in Greece.”
As Plinko’s popularity continues to grow, it’s expected to become a central element of online casino advertising campaigns and that even more variations adapted to Greek players’ preferences will appear.
